Larry Doyle (writer)

Larry Doyle is an American novelist, television writer and producer.

Doyle worked as writer and producer on The Simpsons for seasons nine through twelve (1997-2001) under the direction of executive producer Mike Scully. He previously wrote episodes of Beavis and Butthead, Daria and Rugrats. He also wrote the films Duplex [1] and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. He also wrote some of the Looney Tunes shorts that were made in 2003, as a cross-promotion for Looney Tunes: Back in Action. Warner Bros. decided not to release them theatrically, however.[2]

In 1989, Doyle and Neil Sternecky were selected by Walt Kelly's widow to revive the classic daily comic strip Pogo, although the revival was short-lived.

He is frequent contributor to The New Yorker and has a monthly column in Esquire magazine.

His first novel, I Love You, Beth Cooper, will be published in May 2007. [3] The setting is graduation night at Buffalo Grove High School, Doyle's alma mater.
